Beach Warning Flags
The firefighters from Perdido Key Fire Station 19 are responsible for
flying the Beach Warning flags from the Flag staffs at the Eastern
Gateway and at the Fire Station. We all want a safe, fun summer. Take
notice of the flags and make sure that your family and visitors
recognize the meaning of the different colors and pay attention to the
warnings.
Green:
Low hazard, calm conditions, exercise caution.
Yellow:
Medium hazard, moderate surf and/or currents.
Red:
High hazard, high surf and/or strong currents.
Red over Red:
Water closed to the public.
