Key dwelling 'cap'

The dwelling "cap" on Perdido Key should be removed, and then we can
build The Great Wall of Condos on the Key. But, before the "cap" is
removed, the southwest corner of Escambia County requires the following:

A four-lane highway from the Alabama-Florida state line east to Blue
Angel Parkway (Highway 173); Blue Angel Parkway north to U.S. Alternate
90; U.S. Alternate 90 west to Klondike Road; Klondike Road north to
Interstate 10 and Highway 90 exchange (I-10, Florida exit number 5).
Reason for this route: Pine Forest Road (State Road 297) will not be
able to handle the additional traffic from the population growth from
the southwest corner of Escambia County. Especially during a hurricane
evacuation.

Also required will be an upgrade of Gulf Power electrical services and
ECUA water and sewer services.

Property taxes are what the Escambia County commissioners are concerned
about. They will get the money only when the southwest corner of
Escambia County can handle the additional population growth.

Then and only then will the concerned citizens agree to removing the
Perdido Key dwelling "cap." Until then, we will fight like heck to keep
the Perdido Key dwelling "cap" in place.
